Mohan
Santhanam
Coming from a family of musicians,
music flows in the veins of Mohan Santhanam. His
mother Smt. Saraswathi Santhanam (disciple of
Mudikondan Sri. Venkatarama Iyer) is a musician,
broadcaster and a reputed teacher. His aunt and
uncle were the only two direct disciples to the
veteran composer Sri. Koteeswara Iyer.

Initiated into music by his mother,
Mohan Santhanam came under the tutelage of Sangeetha
Mahopadhyaya Prof. T.R. Subramaniam in 1982. He
also receives training from renowned scholar Dr.
V.V. Srivatsa and Chitravina maestro Sri. N. Ravikiran.
A graded artist of AIR Chennai, he is actively
performing all over the country and has performed
in Malaysia and Singapore. Mohan is the recipient
of several awards, prizes and scholarships. Some

An M.B.A. in Marketing from the Regional Engineering
College, Trichy, he is
employed as an Assistant Manager in Barry Wehmiller
International Resources.
